What a blur!!

And next thing I know… it’s another week and another year around the sun. I had a good week with a day off on Wednesday to chill and get some things done 🙂 I went to Iori with some friends and got some deeeeelish Japanese fried chicken bento box and after a nice walk we had some awesome cheese and wine thanks to my awesome Coz with the gift certificate ❤ Afterwards, my favvy chocolate+caramel+peanut base cake from Flowers cafe and Limoncello from Cinque terre! 😀 Then my friend V + J watched Fleabag (Great show LOL) after some Aussie Margaret River Shiraz wine + delish pasta & herbs from Rome and MORE cheese! One day at a time…. Life is good. I am grateful ❤ Feeling lucky to have the day off that day and to enjoy it and my friend A mailed me some lovely makeup and cream and earrings and snacks!! So thoughtful and kind 😀

Funny note : when I was at Casa d’Italia I spoke only in broken Italian and they were ALL so so so lovely!! It was so fun. Even a customer commented and all I could say was bonne journée lol

Work has been manageable and not too crazy so that’s all good!

I ate the f’in delicious Pork flavoured Nissan instant noodles. It was hilarious as I was cussing heaps to my sis how the options here were totally crap as I opened the gift pack from my friend. Little did I know it was a survival kit! 😀 Damn those noodles were epic.

I also ordered Bun bo Hue spicy viet nooodles from Haozi again and they were damn good too!

Also went to:

  • Emily patisserie: to try the new matcha cake and that was very tasty! Would eat again if given to me lol
  • Perlette patisserie: had the Paris brest. It was ok.
  • Patisserie Georgette: tried the Kalamansi and it was very average :/ maybe something more the traditional French style is better?

After some epic wine + cheese from Xavier Fromagerie (yup 5 cheese platter!), as well as Bar Spirit, I’m doing ok 🙂 Had a random chat with the dude there and he lived in Gladstone, Queensland before! We had an awesome natter cuz he was pining to go to Melbourne hahaha He also bartends @ Hopscotch… apparently a whiskey bar YASSSSS

Today, I made arrabbiata and it was delicious and a bit too spicy lol Mods include:

No:

  • wine
  • sugar
  • basil
  • pepper flakes
  • tomato paste
  • italian seasoning
  • parsley

Added

  • ketchup (I’m sorry!)
  • bird’s eye chillies x 3
  • herbs de provence

Note: I also used whole, peeled canned tomatoes as I saw in another receipe you can break em up. Seemed pretty good!
