Bought food for breakfast at the grocery store all by myself haha No problem getting to the grocery shop and bread shop. There are some larger supermarkets like Bingo, but I just went to the nearby convenience store. They spoke some basic English there and you can pay by card so it's very easy. Here, … Continue reading 23C in Sarajevo 🙂

Chilling on the first day in Sarajevo
Up bright and early at 6:15am. Walked to M&S' hotel and the Cornithia is very nice. We got a taxi in and luckily M's job covered it. Check-in was relatively fine and I got a smoked salmon bagel for breakfast... It had hard boiled eggs too! Yum. Better than Burger King and shorter line! Good … Continue reading Chilling on the first day in Sarajevo
Another nice day in Budapest
Had a pretty good sleep and after a very light breakfast, walked down to the Shoes on the Danube memorial. Imagining the people there lining up to their deaths...only 75 years ago or so. It's unreal. Met up with friends M&S and we crossed the Chain bridge and checked out the Buda palace, Fisherman's bastion … Continue reading Another nice day in Budapest
First full day in Budapest
Had a pretty decent sleep at the hostel, even though it was pretty hot. Got to breakfast and it's not what I'm used to: white bread, museli, cereal...typical hostel breakfast. I had a few bites. Chatted with a young fellow from Brussels and he's traveling with a friend. They were thinking of going to Sofia … Continue reading First full day in Budapest

Love it! No wifi on board but sitting with some chill people. The male sneezed and then 10 seconds … Continue reading 9hr train trip: Krakow to Budapest

Lest we forget: Visiting Auschwitz
Struggled to get up today. I felt very tired and stressed for some reason. I had a weird dream where I was asking a woman why she was smoking. She wrapped her tobacco in this large sheet of newspaper and lit it by going around the circles the end of the rolled newspaper produced. Another … Continue reading Lest we forget: Visiting Auschwitz
Krakow: amazing architecture!
First impression of Krakow as I rolled out just before 9am to get some breakfast goods: No skyscrapersShort buildings (5 floors max) Cars park on the sidewalk Bikes ridden on the sidewalk Many trams and they all look the same! It was a bit chaotic but also seemed like it was brimming with life and … Continue reading Krakow: amazing architecture!
Kicking off to Krakow!
Finished up some life admin like loading my bus pass, buying 100ml bottles at Muji (TIP: 2€ each but saving luggage room and great for carry on!) for filling up the remainder of my shampoo and such and mailed some postcards. Couldn't make it to alfama but went for lunch at Gambrinus. Fancy schmancy. Old … Continue reading Kicking off to Krakow!
